Changes at PowerTech

Over the next several months, we want to make you aware of several organizational changes to improve our customer-facing business.

It is with regret that we announce that Joe Runnels, our Director of Sales, will leave PowerTech effective October 28. Joe has been with PowerTech since 2007 and has been in his current role since 2018. He has been instrumental in leading our sales efforts over that time. He will be missed. Joe is planning to take some extended time away from the business to travel. We thank him for his service to PowerTech and wish him all the best as he embarks on his new chapter.

Over the last 12 months, PowerTech has done a strategic review of our customer-facing businesses. This study concluded that our customers and market development required additional focus. To accomplish this objective, we are realigning our Sales & Engineering teams into two Business Units: OEM and Aftermarket. The OEM Business Unit will focus on developing the Specialty Vehicle markets by bringing customized power solutions to OEM Vehicle manufacturers. The Aftermarket Business Unit will focus on developing our PowerTechCS remote vehicle monitoring technology and developing our service dealer network and be responsible for all technical support to our OEM customers of both PowerTech gensets and PowerTechCS.

We are lucky to have four (4) PowerTech veterans ready to step into critical roles. Bill Dauley is being promoted to Sales Manager-OEM. Bill began his PowerTech career in 2019 as a Western Sales Manager and currently is the Sales Manager for our Specialty Trailer & Motor Coach segments. Bill has over 20 years of generator business experience in OEM and distributor sales. Bill will be responsible for all sales in the OEM Business Unit, including sales planning, business, and market development. Bill will report to Craig Waters.

Nico Razo will be responsible for the Food Service and Mobile Marketing business segments and the development of new market segments for PowerTech. Nico joined PowerTech in 2018 as an Inside Sales Representative responsible for our SEO and dealer sales. He was promoted to Midwest Sales Manager in 2020 and took added responsibilities in 2022 for our business's Food Service and Mobile Marketing segments. Nico will report to Bill Dauley.

Bill Evans is being promoted to Lead Engineer. Working directly with the OEM Sales team, Bill will support our OEM sales team efforts in customer product development efforts working directly with the customer's engineering team. He will also lead our design & development efforts for new gensets and new product development. Bill joined PowerTech in 2019 as a Design Engineer.

James O'Keefe is being promoted to Business Manager of our Aftermarket Business Unit. James' responsibilities will include market development of PowerTechCS, expansion & development of our service dealer network, inside parts sales, and technical support of both generators and PowerTechCS. James started with PowerTech in 2006, held Service, Manufacturing, and Engineering positions, and was most recently our Engineering Manager. James brings a wealth of knowledge to this new role which will help him develop a business that offers excellent potential for PowerTech. James will report to Craig Waters.

Neil Menne is being promoted to Product Manager-PowerTechCS. Neil will be responsible for technical support of the PowerTechCS software and hardware and leading all new product development for CS. Neil has been with PowerTech since 2014 and has recently been a Design Engineer. Neil will report to James O'Keefe.

These staff improvements will be in place by December 1, 2022.

We feel that these changes will improve our communication with you, shorten product development lead times for customized units, and streamline access to our technical support teams better to serve you, our customer, and your customers.

Thank you for your continued support of PowerTech.
